'Clwb Ifor Bach' or simply 'Clwb' is a music venue in central Cardiff also known as 'Welsh Club' to English speakers. Clwb Ifor Bach has existed since the 1970s. It is named after Ifor Bach, a local rebel against English rule during the 12th century. Years ago it was more exclusively a Welsh speakers club but has since relaxed the entry policy.
The Music is very eclectic ranging from a cheesy student night on a Wednesday to specialist dance nights on the weekend and loads of great bands old and new all over the shop. You will find chart hits, motown, rock, techno, hip-hop, drum and bass, folk and of course welsh language music. The Club has 3 floors, helpful staff and an up for it crowd.
Clwb Ifor Bach is located down the alley next to Dempsey's pub opposite the castle.
