Radyr

Quite a posh suburb of Cardiff - more of a separate village than a bona fide part of the city, although a growing number of new housing estates seem to be putting paid to that identity. Good rail-link to town, and also linked by the marvelous Taff Trail walking and cycle-track. There's a good garden centre in Radyr, as well as a very nice 'Pick your Own' fruit farm which is just great in the summer!
