Sons of Serevi RFC are a UK based Rugby 7s team founded in the Summer of 2006 by 7 close friends. The club is coached by 2 qualified regular rugby players/coaches and the squad is ever growing and always looking to recruit more players. With 2006 being our debut year we spent most of the Summer travelling the UK entering and participating in many tournaments including Nottingham Solstice 7s, Cwmtawe and Ashby de la Zouch and we have rapidly become popular throughout the social 7s circuit, having a great time both on and off the field. Probably the best sevens player ever. He holds an unparalleled record at sevens with five Hong Kong titles and one World Cup winners’ medal to his name, along with three Hong Kong Most Valuable Player awards. His vision and ingenuity with ball in hand make him a most dangerous opponent. He is know in the 7s world as 'The Wizard'.
HISTORY
Sons of Serevi RFC were created in the summer of 2006, when a random suggestion at a local pub to create an amateur rugby team formed into something we could initially only just dream of! As the beer went down, the evening drew on, the ideas became more adventurous and we all thought it would be a one of those flash-in-the pan ideas....How wrong we were! With a mutual love of the game, an appreciation of Fijian Rugby, Sons of Serevi RFC arrived and the Rugby 7s squad was born. Father and Sons are reported to be doing very well.
