Taurus Steak House
From Cardiffpedia
The Taurus Steak House (on St Mary Street near the Carolne Street turing) is something of a Cardiff institution. It is *the* place to go if you want a wholesome late-night, post-pub, slab of meaty goodness served with crispy golden potato chips.
It is carnivorous munchy-heaven for those with a few notes left in their pockets after a night on the raz, and everyone knows it. The atmosphere can sometimes be somewhat rowdy (sing-songs and the odd beery scrap are not unknown - and that's just the women), but that all adds to fun and unique ambience of the place.
It isn't unusual to spot the occasional Welsh celeb in here, either. One night some mates and I were half-way through a very harmonious rendition of The Beach Boys' 'Sloop John B' when James Dean Bradfield (from 'The Manic Street Preachers') tapped one of us on the shoulder and asked us to keep it down.
