The Point

A former church, The Point is a venue for music in the heart of Cardiff Bay. Featuring an eclectic mix of tribute bands, musicians on the rise (Nerina Pallot recently) and those outside of the mainstream (the staggeringly good though little known Tommy Emmanuel played one of his finest sets there last month to a packed audience of those in the know). Add to that acts as diverse as Roy Ayers, Cerys Matthews, Jefferson Starship-- and the strong support for up and coming local bands, and you have the best venue for live music in the area.
Its fabulous gothic interior also serves as a venue for weddings and other celebrations.
However to many, The Point's main appeal is the Bogiez rock & metal night hosted there on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month.
